Kiss Gel Dress Nail Stickers - Swatches and Review

Today I have a review of the new Kiss Gel Dress Nail Stickers.  They are nails stickers that you can put a gel top coat over (and put in the LED lamp) and it's supposed to last up to 2 weeks. You're then supposed to be able to peel them off your nails.

I purchased them from my local Walgreens for $6.99.  They had 10 different designs to choose from, many were a lot prettier than the gradient I got, but I fell in love with the little hearts because I thought they would be great for Valentine's Day. The set comes with 40 stickers (20 nails stickers and 20 design stickers). At first glance I thought there was 40 nail stickers which would mean at least 2 manicures but there were only 20, so enough for 1 set. They also had Kiss gel polish you could purchase separately to place over the stickers but I used Gelish Foundation and Gelish Top Coat.

The stickers are really thick and not very flexible. I did manage to get them to lay down which was slightly challenging because I have very curved nerves. I put 2 coats of gel polish on top (but they only recommend 1).

The results were beautiful, extremely shiny and I got tones of compliments.  You can't tell in pictures but the nails are almost a neon finish with a glitter shimmer. They did manage to last 1 week, but 2 of the stickers fell off after 4 days. I just looked down at my nails at work and the sticker was on the table, LOL.

Here is the set after I peeled them off. My first impression when I read that they were peel-able was that "everybody knows you get damage when you peel things off your nails" but somehow I don't think they caused damage. I don't know if it's due to the thickness of the sticker and the lack of stickiness, or because I applied them over clear gel polish and not directly on my natural nails.

I can't say that I'm in love with it because I can only get 1 manicure out of the box and it only lasted 4 days (although I wore them a few days longer). You may be able to wear these stickers without gel polish and apply a regular top coat but I'm not sure how long they would last.  I think this set would look better if you nails are not very curved because that would allow the sticker to lay completely flat and possibly extend the life of the manicure. Overall I like this set but I'm not sure if I would purchase it again.

  1. These are cute! Nail stickers never tend to last the stated time on my nails either though!

  2. Looked pretty cool while it stayed on though! My gels have been peeling off in full sheets too.
